BoardReady: Project Manager (part-time contractor)

‍About the Team:   

As the Project Manager at BoardReady, you will be working alongside our small, extraordinary team comprised of:   

• Senior Strategists: board members from some of the top Fortune & FTSE companies, donating their time to advance diversity on corporate boards.   
• BoardReady Staff: including the Executive Director & Software Developers
• Members of our TalentVault: diverse, corporate leaders actively searching for their next board role.   
• Strategic Partners: comprised of academic institutions, recruiters, consultants, and researchers, all seeking to advance boar diversity.   

About the role:

As the Project Manager, you will be at the forefront of change across BoardReady’s three lines of business. Your role will include (but not be limited to):  

• Supporting client engagements through materials creation and the BoardReady Index Platform.
• Manage the TalentVault, BoardReady’s the directory of diverse directors.
• Assist in updating the website and social media channels where necessary.  
• Research company information for clients and peers and input into the BoardReady Index Platform
• Managing the technical partnership with our software developers to continue to develop individual product offerings.

About You:

You are a motivated, inquisitive individual who shares our core value of diversity driven returns with experience in moving a product from conceptual to finely tuned. The perfect candidate will have a high attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously, within a team, and to jump in with sleeves rolled up and solve challenges that will arise as BoardReady grows.  

Some concrete skills BoardReady is looking for include:  

• An Excel expert – comfortable with formulas, sorting and filtering large data sets.
• PowerPoint – able to transform data into charts, format, polish, and edit.
• Basic statistics – able to understand and use mathematical formulas to interpret data.
• Data visualization- up to date on the latest visualization tools and able to use these to simplify big data into digestible information for clients.
• Report writing – experienced at creating first drafts of documents and able to draw conclusions on data and analyze trends.
• Design – Able to follow brand guidelines to create visually and experientially cohesive communications
• Communications – Familiar with social media and able to help produce content where needed  
• Research – comfortable pulling corporate data from public data and fact checking where needed for report production.  

The Project Manager is a new role to BoardReady and will likely evolve with the growth of the organization depending on the individual selected, leading to opportunities for progression and customization of this role.

As the Social Impact Associate, you will be working alongside the BoardReady 75% of the time and Columbia Cares Team 25% of the time. The BoardReady team includes: Senior Strategists: board 

members from some of the top Fortune & FTSE companies, donating their time to advance diversity on corporate boards and BoardReady Staff: including the Executive Director & Software Developers.

About the role:

As the Social Impact Associate, you will be at the forefront of change across BoardReady’s three lines of business, while applying your skillset to support the CSR efforts at Columbia Hospitality’s Columbia Cares Foundation. Your role will include (but not be limited to):

• Reaching out to potential TalentVault members
• Providing introductory materials for TalentVault members

• Supporting client engagements through materials creation, research, and updating data in the BoardReady Index Platform
• Researching company information for clients and peers and formulate into templates
• Managing the technical partnership with our software developers to continue to develop individual product offerings
• Creating proposals for partnerships and events
• Connecting and maintain relationships with new and old partners in the diversity space

• Create and follow media plans for social media and newsletters
• Updating website and social media channels where necessary
• Supporting research initiatives while managing and finding additional volunteers
• Handling scheduling and communications across time zones
• Organizing and updating BoardReady’s data
